SEVi 160ALD - Sound insulation configurations

The SEVi 160ALD as a sound-insulated fresh air diffuser can be optimised with regard to external sound insulation by means of specific configurations. Depending on the requirements, special sound attenuation inserts and a sound-optimised inner screen are implemented in the system. As a result, standard sound level differences (Dn,e,w) of up to 67 dB can be achieved without deflection. The technical parameters change depending on the product configuration (see the technical data of the individual product configurations).

Construction of the sound-insulated fresh air diffuser

The SEVi 160ALD as a sound-insulated fresh air diffuser consists of a fixed pipe (Ø = 160 mm) made of PPs (polypropylene) of low flammability, for installation of the ventilation system in properties with a wide variety of wall thicknesses from 300 mm. A stainless steel weather protection grille forms the façade closure; inside there is an inner screen that can be removed from the wall without tools. The fixed pipe contains sound-insulating inserts to maximise external sound insulation (decentralised ventilation SEVi 160ALD – sound-insulated fresh air diffuser).

Blower-Door-Test

The SEVi 160ALD can be completely closed. Even at 50 Pa over/under pressure, no leaks could be detected in the closed state.
